The first time I had met my soon to be best friend I was working at P.F. Changs serving and everyone was talking about this Ashley person being in town from Jersey. It came to my understanding that she went off to the “city” to pursue her dreams of being an actress. I thought to myself, That’s pretty darn cool. While working in the kitchen this mystery person arrived wearing a long green scarf.   Everybody seemed to be excited upon the arrival of a long time Chang(er).  A few months later Ashley moved back home and we were to start working together. I do not remember the early work days, but she was soon to sit in my chair for a revamping of the hair. A fellow employee had recommended she come and see me. Ashley is a natural glowing blond with the personality to match. Her time in the city had turned her a ruby-red, but as time went on she faded into a dishwater muddy color. It was quit tragic, but nothing a Fogal couldn’t fix. At that first visit our friendship had begun over many foils, a little color, and a lot of lightener. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have a friend that is fun, understanding, compassionate, a goof, and is just a good person. I never thought that my career path would afford me to not only do what I love, but  come in contact with so many special people. I am thankful my friend Ashley came into my life and will not let my sadness affect my love and adoration for her. I wish her the best of luck on finding happiness in her life.
